First Ever Blog!

Hey Guys,

Welcome to my first ever blog. A lot of people have been bugging me for years. 'Why don't you have a blog?' Well, now I do, and they are right. This is the perfect place for myself to let people know about the inside of their personal trainers, upcoming events for them all for put on their calendar, and so much more!

The Accident - Part 1.

A lot of people know a little bit about the car accident and they do ask me about it everytime I see them. I also have been told it's good to get it out onto paper, plus it's a good read. I like to think this shows that even us 'trainers' are human accidents happen, but more importantly I am now proof that you can overcome any obstacle head on.

On the 26th of February 2012, I was in a serious car accident. Luckily my wife and my 1 year old son Jordan was ok, however I wasn't. To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am thankful that my family only needed a routine check.

I only remember bits and pieces from there, probably from others talking about it, but personally it's much of a blur. The impact of the car that T-boned into us, to getting cut of the car and being taken to hospital felt like more of a nightmare than anything. All I kept thinking of was 'Is my family ok?'

The next thing I remember was seeing a number of different nurses, doctors and other specialists at random times. I also kept telling them that I couldn't feel my legs and I had to ask a nurse to make sure it was there in my state, that wasn't easy to do as I was on very heavy medication.

4th September - Trainers Team Building

If you have been trying to find a Committed 2 Fitness trainer to train you on this date. Unfortunately, this won't be possible as all of us will be 'team building'. Believe it or not, this actually will be activities, not alcohol related! Our mission by the end of the day is to help us become even better trainers for you!

30th November - Clients Day.

Committed 2 Fitness for the first time ever are running a Clients Day! Come on down and chat to your trainer in a more subdued environment plus we will announce the 'Client of the Year' for 2013!

Here's a video I stumbled across just browsing and I noticed they do a lot of the same exercises we do! Also, take a good look at the end of the clip, they have some really good messages that we all want not only our clients, but everyone to achieve. Let me know what you think!


Health Tip

A lot of people say eating 6 meals is 'hard work' and 'I have no time'. The key is to prepare! What works well, is to use your Sunday to cook all the dinners and any other hot meals you are planning on eating for the following week. Then put the right portion into a small container, label and pop in the freezer!
